Every afternoon big, black clouds move in, lightning streaks across the sky and thunder roars across the valley and then like clockwork at around 2 in the afternoon the rain starts - and it is not just your normal little shower, it is big, fat soaking rain that manages to get in through windows and finds its way through holes in the roof. The strange thing is rainy season was meant to end a few months ago but it just keeps on coming. The thunder has been so loud that it has kept me from sleeping and has been cracking right near our house. The neighbourhood boys love making little boats and sending them sailing down the torrent out the front of our house - great fun!

Looks like fun to play in the rain. Your Daddy used to love the rain. He rode his bike in the mud and rain on many occasions!!! Get him to tell you about that!

When i was living in Indonesia, it rained a lot as well during the rainy season. When I was your age, I remember playing in the rain until i got sick so that was not good!
